2002
July '02 > Ilan Azriel and Ella Munk-Azriel decide to produce a unique spectacle, based on the personification of industrial materials and entertaining interactions with audiences.
August '02 > Ilan goes on an intensive search for material and finds most of it in factories and technical supply stores. Together with Yuval Kedem, a special effects expert, various methods are used in an attempt to bring the objects to life.
September '02 > Ella and Ilan hold auditions and cast performers, some of them dancers, the others physical actors. They launch a production company, and are set on developing their ‘dream show'.
2003
May '03 > After much work, The Aluminum Show debuts in Jerusalem, at the Israel Festival. The reviews are excellent, and Time Out Tel Aviv describes the show as "...spectacular and fascinating... A perfectly orchestrated visual collage... Run and see it!"
November '03 > While on its nationwide tour in Israel, the show also routinely performs at a unique arena theater, located at the Tel Aviv Port. One culture critic writes that "had it been showing in London or New York, it would definitely be labeled as a must see'".
2004
May '04 > Israel's leading newspaper, Yediot Achronot, places Ilan Azriel on its ‘100 Israeli Culture Leaders' list.
December '04 > The Aluminum Show appears at the Suzanne Dellal Centre, as part of the ‘International Exposure' event, and gets the attention of international producers. One dance critic writes: "A real visual hit, made professionally and with plenty of imagination".
2005
May '05 > For the first time, The Aluminum Show performs outside Israel, making its international debut at the prestigious ‘Is Sanat' hall in Istanbul, Turkey.
November '05 > The Aluminum Show goes on a month-long tour across 10 cities in Argentina. One critic describes the show: "The best of the stage's tradition, in the light of the current artistic avant-garde"
November '05 > The ensemble appears on the final episode of ‘La Noche Del 10', Soccer Legend Diego Maradonna's variety show. Millions across South America watch the live broadcast.
2006
September '06 > Sual, a Russian aluminum company and one of the biggest in the world, celebrates a decade of existence and invites the ensemble to perform for the company's management in Moscow.
2007
January '07 > The ensemble is invited to Eindhoven in Holland, to perform at the grand opening of the Theater Hall. While walking through the city streets, Ilan comes across an aluminum billboard, an object that eventually finds its way to a scene in the show.
April '07 > The Aluminum Show arrives in Nigeria, to perform at the grand opening of the movie city ‘Nollywood'.
May '07 > The show makes its way to Lelystad in Holland. While in the air, the flight attendants' pre-flight explanations inspire Ilan, and he decides to incorporate the idea into the show's opening act.
July '07 > The prestigious dance festival ‘Vaison La Dance' in Provence, France, invites The Aluminum Show to perform at the amphitheater in Viason La Romaine. At the end of the show, over 2000 people give the dancers a standing ovation. Next-day headlines praise: "A wondrous and unforgettable show".
October '07 > The Aluminum Show is invited to Madrid to promote the 'ROCK IN RIO' festival.
November '07 > The previous performances in Holland lead to a 30-show tour across the country.
2008
January '08 > Amidst heavy snow, The Aluminum Show performs for 4 weeks in Athens, Greece.
March '08 > The ensemble is invited for a 3-week tour in Lisbon, Portugal. One newspaper describes the show as "one of the most innovative events of modern times".
April '08 > The show heads to Ankara, Turkey, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the' International Ankara Music Festival'. The Aluminum Show is chosen to be the closing show.
May '08 > The Aluminum Show opens the ‘Macau Arts Festival'.
July '08 > The ‘Trump Plaza' in Atlantic City hosts The Aluminum Show for 60 consecutive performances.
August '08 > The Aluminum Show packs in a capacity crowd throughout ‘The Edinburgh Fringe Festival', and is marked as the festival's hottest show. It receives 5 stars from critics and is described as "one of the most weirdly innovative shows you could hope to see at the Fringe, any year".
September '08 > Immediately after ‘The Edinburgh Fringe Festival', The Aluminum Show goes on tour in the United Kingdom.
October '08 > The Aluminum Show is invited to Mexico, where it is the opening performance at the ‘Cervantino Festival'. 10,000 people give the dancers a heartwarming standing ovation.
November '08 > The Aluminum Show goes on tour in Germany.
2009
January '09 > The Aluminum Show travels to Bucharest, Romania, and continues to Israel for a nationwide tour.
2010
January '10 > The show's winter tour kicks off in the United States, and Fox News describes it as "a fascinating, family-friendly, fun and interesting show...incredibly interactive from the front of the theatre all the way to the back... very visual... the energy is amazing... something I've never seen before".
March '10 > After wrapping up the U.S tour, the ensemble makes its way to Bogota, Columbia, to appear at the ‘Festival Iberoamericano de Teatro'.
June '10 > As part of substantial changes in the show, Ilan and executive producer David Azulay arrange for auditions In New York, in order to find new talented performers for the show.
July '10 > Ilan and American Director Dodd Loomis develop a new script as a basis for an improved version of the show. At the same time, the music, choreography, lighting, set, costumes and special effects also go through their own renewal process.
September '10 > The Aluminum Show is invited to the 'Chihuahua Festival' in Mexico. The critics describe it as "one of the most fascinating events".
2011
January '11 - May '11 > The national USA tour ends after 100 shows with many thousands of new fans. Critics write that The Aluminum Show is "an amazing theater event".
June '11 - July '11 > The Arteria Coliseum in Madrid hosts The Aluminum Show for 50 consecutive performances.
September '11 > The Aluminum Show travels to its first tour in Brazil.
October '11 > The national tour in Spain begins in Burgos.
